We are a small family run and family owned kennel based in the The central Texas hill country. We have a passion for nature and special love for Irish Wolfhounds. For us, this started at the first moments we had ever seen an Irish Wolfhound over a decade ago. After researching endless information and learning the rich history of this historic sight hound, our love and passion led to owning several of our own. This evolved into a dream of owning our own Irish Wolfhound kennel and starting our legacy.
Our mission is to breed and raise the highest quality Irish Wolfhound Companions, competitors, and champions, to preserve this rare, unique and ancient breed, to educate and introduce this precious giant into more families' lives, and to spread the happiness that is having an Irish Wolfhound in your life. We encourage you to do proper research before considering owning an Irish Wolfhound.
Values & Beliefs:
Our values for this kennel are grounded in our passion for nature and our largest belief is that pets are more than animals in the house. They are part of the family. Whether you have an Irish Wolfhound as a companion, an athlete, for shows, or for work they should be treated with love and respect. We believe that breeding is a privilege and the responsibility is to be taken seriously. Always done safely with an emphasis on the health and well being of the parents and the pups. These beliefs are what we strive to share with people and expand in the world around us.
Our Wolfhounds have been specifically chosen to be carefully and responsibly bred. We breed to produce healthy AKC (American Kennel Club) registered Irish Wolfhound puppies for future generations. All of our Wolfhounds are screened for congenital and developmental heart disease (EKG) by a board-certified veterinary cardiologist (annually), congenital eye disease by a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist, hip dysplasia and elbow dysplasia. All of our puppies are tested between 8 - 9 weeks to be screened for liver shunt, also called portosystemic shunt. After they have been cleared by our veterinarian is when puppies may be chosen for their future homes. All puppies will be given to their future families no sooner than 12 weeks with the appropriate vaccinations and microchipped. Puppies must be taken to your family veterinarian within 48 hours. All pedigree and OFA health records will be available upon request.
Our hounds come from a long line of AKC champions. If you intend to show your Irish Wolfhound please let us know in advance because that changes the choosing process.
